U16 Girls WA Rugby Tour

We're thrilled to share that our very own South West Spirit player, Poppy Stevens, was recently selected to represent Western Australia in the U16 Girls rugby team. Poppy travelled to Sydney for an exciting tour where the team competed against some of the best junior girls’ from New South Wales.

The U16 Girls had an impressive tour, with the U16s only narrowly losing their first match by just one try (19-25). The team's resilience and growth over the course of the tour were clear, as they held their own against tough competition and displayed remarkable teamwork, courage, and determination.

This tour was not just about the games, but about personal and team growth. The experience showed Poppy and her teammates the power of belief, trust, and perseverance, marking a significant step in their development both as athletes and individuals.

We're incredibly proud of Poppy and all the girls for their hard work and commitment. This opportunity has certainly been a milestone in their rugby journey, and we're excited to see where it takes them next!
